Mantra.

Originally a performer,
turned thespian, turned filmmaker.
I’ve been working in the Boston film industry in production for four years, and I’ve truly met some incredible people. I’ve used the freedom of freelance work to spend time writing my own original feature length screenplay. (Contact me below if you're interested in reading it!) Recently though, I’ve found myself shifting back into directing and filmmaking. I’m interested in Narrative fiction filmmaking, expressionistic filmmaking and commercial work. Here’s my story:
I grew up in the Boston area, living on the farmland surrounding my Family’s Garden Center. Throughout my childhood I watched my parents work hard to run a business and make it their own. Working at the business we were never afraid to get our hands dirty, both literally and figuratively. I started acting in Musical Theatre at a young age. My passion for performance eventually brought me away from the U.S. to the grassy knolls of Devon, England where I earned a Bachelors Degree in Drama at The University of Exeter. I spent many years acting in theatre and looking back, I seriously appreciate what it taught me. Through acting I learned how to build a complex character and through Theatre, being the ancient medium that it is, I learned that there are many ways to tell a story. In my film work so far I’ve tried to exploit that theory. With the music video “Mirror’s” and my short project “Old Friends”, the stories threads are motivated by deep emotions from periods of our lives.
Meanwhile films like “Boundless” and the Russell’s Commercials, turn to a far more realistic approach, showcasing clear narratives and complex characters. The motivation for these characters has predominately been from the variety of people I’ve met and known on my travels so far. I’ve been lucky to have the chance to live in two countries. With my interests clashing between international ski bums, London lads, live artists, actors and townie Bostonian film crews, I’d say I’ve had a fair chance to meet and know a wide variety of people.
I enjoy adapting and creating original direction to make stories with a lasting impression. I look forward to writing and directing creative, commercial and film projects with you.
